This assignment is to design a stylized photograph of jewelry or a reflective piece such as a watch, bracelet, or other reflective objects. My idea came from the painting of the Virgin Mary, whose fingers are holding a heart in the air. So I asked my model to dress up spiritually like the Virgin Mary. Then, I put the fabric between the model and my hero subject, the golden color earring, which has a heart shape. For lighting purposes, I put the softbox on the right side of my subjects and the reflector on the left. The challenge in this project would be placing model hands in the position I wanted. Still, I finally got the result I wanted. This project is very precise because even a tiny reflection on the earring can make a huge difference in the outcome. This commercial project significantly improved my technical skill using studio lights. I captured those photographs for the Commercial Photography project in the Spring, 2021.
